Nokia E55

Nokia announced two new business oriented cell phones at the same time at MWC 2009 – the Nokia E75 and E55. We have already reviewed the former and are pleased with it. Now, it´s time we take a closer look at the second and see what it delivers. Today we introduce the Nokia E55 to you. It´s the manufacturer´s first attempt at a “compact QWERTY keyboard” that consists of 20 buttons. The handset sports the overall design style that we already know from the E66 and E71 and frankly, the Nokia E55 looks almost identical (aside from the keyboard) to the successor to the E51 – the E52 and has the same design, software and functionality. The phone also supports 3G and comes equipped with Wi-Fi, GPS and two cameras - a 3.2-megapixel main camera and an additional one for video calls. In a nutshell, it´s got what it takes to be a good business oriented device. The interface is not any different from the one on the E75 in almost anything, except for several nice novelties. We will certainly tell you what these are, but let´s first take a look at what is in the box.

The C510 is a stunning bar shaped handset which is compact in size & comes with an easy to view 2.2 Inch screen complete with a well spaced keypad for ease of use. The Sony Ericsson C510 has a built in camera which is a 3.2 megapixel digital camera feature complete with a wide variety of built in features to suit this camera orientated handset complete with high quality camera features. The camera features include a slide lens cover for protection, digital zoom, picture, geo tagging, video recording capabilities, smile shutter™ & a built in flash feature, to name a few. This Sony Ericsson C510 is a 3G HSDPA capable handset which supports an Internet browser which is YouTube™ compatible & this compact phone comes with a built in music player feature complete with a album art cover display.

BlackBerry Bold 9000

Most people associate BlackBerry with business email, but things are about to change. The BlackBerry Bold is certainly aptly named: it's a very daring step into the world of all-in-one super-phones. The Bold's core features are still made of serious stuff, but with the addition of HSPDA (3.5G) and GPS, RIM hopes to capture a larger piece of the smart phone pie.

Sony Ericsson K800i

For a relatively small and lightweight 3G phone the Sony Ericsson K800i is positively dripping with features and the headline 3.2-megapixel camera isn't the only good thing about it. We aren't big fans of Sony's new tiny Memory Stick Micro, but if nothing else the K800i stylishly shows that 3G handsets have at last made it mainstream

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic

There was quite a fuss surrounding the release of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, because this was the first device of the manufacturer featuring touch sensitive display. And until recently, it was the only one as well. With its affordable price tag and good overall functionality, the 5800 turned out to be a success, which must have tipped off the manufacturer that they could bite off a larger chunk of the lucrative market. Today we are introducing the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, the second touch screen model of the company’s music series. We can definitely call it a younger sibling of the 5800 or its lighter version if you will. The 5530 also runs Symbian S60 5th Edition, but sports a smaller display, 4GB microSD card (the 5800 comes with 8GB), has no GPS and doesn’t support 3G.
